What is a PLACED Bag?
Unfortunately, many children enter foster care carrying their belongings in a trash bag. Together, we can replace that moment with dignity, comfort, and hope.
A small act of kindness can change the way a child experiences one of the hardest days of their life.
A PLACED Bag is a specially prepared duffel bag designed to replace the lack of what many children carry when entering foster care.
Each bag is packed with practical essentials and meaningful comfort items to help a child feel loved, valued, and cared for during a difficult transition.
Each PLACED Bag may include:
• Hygiene essentials
• Comfort items
• Blankets
• Journals
• Stuffed animals
• Age-appropriate necessities
• Encouraging notes
Our goal is simple: To remind children they are not forgotten.
Every PLACED Bag sends a powerful message to a child entering foster care: You matter. You are valued. You are loved.
How it works
The plan is to partner with you to deliver bags to foster children in your area, or sponsor a bag that we will deliver to a foster child here in Southern California. Bags are customizable, contact us for more information.
SPONSOR A PLACED BAG
$50 - Helps provide comfort and hygiene essentials for a child entering foster care.
$75 - Sponsors one complete PLACED Bag for a child in crisis.
$150 - Helps support two children entering foster care with essential supplies and comfort items.
$500 - Helps provide supplies for a church packing event, equipping volunteers to serve foster families together.
$1,000+ - Helps expand PLACED Families outreach, church partnerships, and community support events.
